Dr. Mark Wegener (DPT, OCS, CSCS)Dr. Mark Wegener is the director of Balance Rehabilitation. He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University (DPT). He is also a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and has completed specialized training in the areas of Vestibular and Neurological Rehabilitation. Dr Wegener is the recipient of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society; Pacific South Coast Chapter's, Health Care Provider Volunteer of the Year for 2008.
Mitchell Tsurudome (DPT, OCS, CSCS)Mitchell Tsurudome completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA and attained his Master's degree and Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist with extended instruction in manual therapy and movement sciences. He is certified in Mat Pilates through BASI and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA. Mitchell provides a weekly class for patients with Multiple Sclerosis that incorporates balance, fitness, and pilates training. His inspiration towards physical therapy developed from his father's rehabilitation from a stroke and the opportunity to work with patients to provide a happier and healthier lifestyle. Mitchell enjoys cooking, eating, and rooting for the Bruins.
Marcelle Andaya (DPT)Dr. Marcelle Andaya is a staff physical therapist at Balance Rehabilitation. After achieving her Bachelor's of science degree in Physiological Science from UCLA in 2001, she then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from USC in 2005. Since receiving her doctorate degree, she has attended several continuing education courses pertaining to balance and vestibular rehabilitation and now specializes in treating patients with balance and vestibular dysfunction. Prior to joining the Balance Rehabilitation, Marcelle practiced as a balance and vestibular physical therapist in her hometown, Santa Maria, CA. She is excited to be living in Orange County and being part of the Balance Rehabilitation team. Gerard Donayre (DPT) (San Pedro)Gerard Donayre is a Physical Therapist and Director of the new Balance Rehabilitation Inc. clinic in San Pedro, California. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who received his Masters Degree from Mount Saint Mary's College in Brentwood, California in 2002. In his current role, Gerard has integrated orthopedic, neurological, health and fitness rehabilitation principles to offer South Bay residents a transition from rehabilitation to wellness. Gerard lives in the South Bay with his two younger boys and loving wife. He enjoys playing soccer with San Pedro Soccer club in the Peninsula Soccer League, and offers his volunteer time with his sons' teams and schools. He welcomes you to the new Balance Rehabilitation clinic of San Pedro.
Alex Andrade (Patient Accounts)Alex Andrade is a native to southern California, born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. He joined the Balance Rehab team in January of 2007. Alex brings over 16 years of medical billing and customer service to the team. Alex is also fluent in Spanish. Que pasa!
Kathy Rivello (Office Executive)Kathy joined Balance Rehabilitation in November of 2006. She has over 28 years of medical office experience. You'll see her right as you walk in, smiling, as she helps you get set for your Balance Rehabilitation experience.
Larry LeFranc (Operations Manager)Larry is our resident east coaster (Boston) that has made his way to southern California. Larry has a background in special needs and patient care. He is a former athlete having played baseball in the Yawkey League. He now is an avid runner and can be found on the trails of Orange County. He manages the day to day operations of our San Clemente and Mission Viejo clinics. Britni MacCaskill, PTABritni joined the Balance team in July of 2010. She hails from Cal Lutheran University where she excelled in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine and received her degree. Her positive attitude and can do work ethic will help you on your road to recovery. She plays basketball during her free time and enjoys her sports activities. She has set her sights high, on continuing her education with graduate school where she plans on pursuing her nursing degree. Kanai Brown-Tagle, PTAKanai joins the Balance team having a back ground in Gracie Barra jiu jitsu. Where he is a coach and instructor. He has extensive Kinesiology knowledge and is a bright addition to the Balance Rehab family. He currently resides in San Clemente and as you can guess practices his craft daily. Look for him in our San Clemente office. Jose Uriostegui, PT AideJose comes to us from Cal State Fullerton where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Having worked closely with the sports and athletic departments at Cal State Fullerton he is a welcome and invaluable Physical Therapy Aide here at Balance Physical Therapy. Jose is also bilingual (Spanish) and a big football fan. His long term goal is to be a Doctor of Physical Therapy. |
